The Campagnolo Bora Ultra 50's are a leading example of advanced Italian road bike technology, and the wheelset of choice for World Champions and Grand Tour winners when faced with rolling roads and flat terrain. With a 50mm deep rim, this wheelset maximizes aerodynamic gain and rider efficiency on flat roads. However, this doesn't come at the cost of weight. Weighing just 1435 grams per pair, these wheels help you dance up climbs with as much ease as they help you motor over the flat. Due to the new slightly larger, 24.2mm outer rim width, this wheelset also accommodates much wider tires than the previous model - drastically improving rider comfort as well as control and grip out on the road. In this clincher-compatible iteration, they also offer an exceptional level of serviceability too.
While carbon rims have historically had a reputation for poor braking, with the development of AC3 (All Conditions Carbon Control) technology, Campagnolo has broken the mold. By applying this technology to the braking track, the Campagnolo Bora Ultra's offer a 40% improvement in braking performance in the wet, and 20% better braking performance in drier conditions.
At the center of these wheels are a set of oversized, high flanged carbon-fiber hubs. These are filled with Campagnolo's proprietary CULT ceramic bearings, designed to help the wheels spin smoother, for longer. These hubs are laced and balanced to the carbon rim, by hand using Campagnolo's distinctive G3 spoke pattern via 18 bladed stainless-steel spokes in the front, and 21 in the rear which results in an incredibly torsionally stiff wheelset that ensures maximum speed and lasting race-winning performance.
