Prologo Dimension R2 Saddle

Dimension R2 is Prologo’s new high-performance ergonomic saddle, positioned at the top end of the Dimension family, one of the most popular ranges on the market in recent years. A compact, multidisciplinary saddle measuring 245x143 mm, it's perfect for road, gravel, and XC/marathon MTB use. Designed for both professionals and demanding enthusiasts, it targets riders seeking maximum performance and premium-level components.

Prologo’s ongoing pursuit of peak performance—combined with continuous improvements in design and materials—has made it possible to further evolve an already cutting-edge saddle and create the lightest Dimension ever. Weighing just 135 grams, it is 13% lighter than the previous Dimension 143 model.

Anatomical Shape

The V-shape design of the Dimension R2 minimizes unwanted movement and ensures precise rider positioning on the saddle. Its forward-positioned anatomical center allows riders to comfortably sit further toward the front. The flat anatomical profile promotes a more forward and aerodynamic position, making it ideal for riders with excellent pelvic flexibility.

Technologies

The Dimension R2 features a completely redesigned nose, now 40 mm wide—a 6% increase over the previous model—and with a more rounded side profile. This new design was developed to further enhance comfort, especially during intense pedaling efforts. The PAS (Perineal Area System) is an open central channel designed to eliminate pressure peaks and numbness, improving blood flow and comfort.

A new EVA foam allowed Prologo to reduce the rear padding thickness by 1 mm, a 20% decrease compared to the previous model. This weight reduction was achieved without compromising support or comfort.

Base and Rails

The rail is available in Nack (Nano Carbon Fiber): made of carbon fiber, Kevlar, and aluminum filaments—perfect for riders seeking maximum stiffness and lightness- or in Tirox (light alloy steel): offering excellent vibration absorption and a great weight-to-strength ratio. The base is made from long carbon fiber for the Nack rail, or in injected carbon fiber for the Tirox rail. Materials offering a great balance between stiffness and comfort.
