Every cyclist should know that to lubricate a bicycle chain, the cranks must be turned backwards to achieve good lubricant coverage over the entire length of the chain.

Another way to move the chain is to lift the rear wheel of the E-Bike off the ground and pedal forwards. E-Bikes are often quite heavy, which makes this task rather tedious.
